2019 Scholarship
The recipients of the 2019 Tom Bearson Scholarship are: Emily Driste, Emilee Logeman, Luke Schmidt, Jack Grabinski, and Erin Hobday. Congratulations, everyone!

Emily Driste won the Sartell High School scholarship of $1,000 and plans on attending the University of Minnesota-Duluth to pursue a degree in a medical field with a focus on exercise science. Emily was a well-rounded student throughout her high school career; she was a three sport athlete who learned to rise above injuries and adversities, which helped shape her goals for her future.

Emilee Logeman won the Apollo High School scholarship of $500 and plans on attending college to pursue a degree in nursing. Emilee learned a great deal from her high school sporting career; she was a four year varsity soccer player, as well as captain of the team.

Luke Schmidt won the Cathedral High School scholarship of $500 and plans to attend St. Cloud University in the fall to pursue a career in photo journalism. Luke has overcome adversity in his high school hockey career, and shared in his essay the importance of perseverance and passion.

Jack Grabinski won the Sauk Rapids High School scholarship of $500 and plans to attend St. John's University in the fall to pursue a degree in engineering. Jack was a well-rounded three sport athlete, competing in Cross Country, Track and Field, and of course, Swim and Dive. He was also involved in a variety of clubs and organizations, including student council.

Erin Hobday won the Tech High School scholarship of $500 and plans to attend the University of Colorado at Boulder in the fall to pursue a degree in environmental studies. She was heavily involved in alpine skiing during her middle school and high school years, and was also a two-year captain of the team.
